Internet Marketing

We have been developing web sites and Internet marketing initiatives for for aftermarket automotive companies for years.  Though Internet marketing is not the primary business of Biodiesel Motor Projects, we still accept new projects if they meet certain criteria.

In some cases, some of our Internet marketing campaigns have literally quadrupled overall business of some these companies -- strictly by harnessing the power of the Internet.  We have the ability to create any web site and are able to work with wide varieties of budgets.  We have developed web site projects from $1000 to $150,000 and have consulted on projects as high as $2 million.

We also offer web site consulting services including bid solicitation and evaluation.  We have saved some of our clients  tens of thousands in initial costs and thousands in reoccurring costs.  We have also selected tech partners and design firms for major web sites (over $100,000 in initial costs).

Internet marketing automotive clients include:  (links will open in a new window)

  • Proffitt's Cruisers. When Shoumatoff Media began Proffitt's Cruisers' Internet marketing campaign, about four years ago, they were an unknown shop hindered by their location in a very rural part of Colorado, where it is not even worth it for them to have a sign.  Though they have always had top-notch vehicle customization ability, it was not properly marketed. Through success of their web site and some other campaigns, today Proffitt's Cruisers is well known as one of the top companies in the Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle customization business.  They now currently have over a year-and-a-half wait for perspective projects.  Other well known restoration companies send some of their vehicles there for engine conversions and modifications that other companies are reluctant to do, and people frequently ship vehicles from as far as Florida, Texas, and California to have work done by Proffitt's Cruisers.  Shoumatoff Media also directly helped build a major segment of their work load which now accounts for upto about 40-50% of their business.  Their long list of clients even includes celebrities Ralph Lauren and Josh Bernstein, the former host of the hit History Channel show Digging For The Truth.
Cruiser Outfitters.  Internet-based (no retail location) Toyota Land Cruiser parts house.  Shoumatoff Media / Biodiesel Motor Projects helped develop this small company into one of the larger and most respected Toyota Land Cruiser ARB and Old Man Emu distributors and retails in the country, despite the highly competitive industry.
  • EPOCS Manufacturing.  A 40+ employee precision sheet metal fabrication businesses that makes custom computer housings, telecommunications equipment, and custom automotive products including bumpers and other products.  Epocs has worked with almost every major Fortune 500 computer manufacturer in the country.  Business at Epocs increased dramatically when they finally has a web site that showed off their technical ability and manufacturing capabilities.
  • GS CruiserPartsA parts business in Canada that specializes in acquiring Japanese spec "JDM" (Japanese Domestic Market) used auto parts and selling them throughout North America.  This site was built by us and today the owners maintain it themselves.
  • Outback Land Cruisers - A now-defunct business.  But web site services, starting in 2001, were able to single-handedly quadruple over-all business.

Samples of work for non-automotive clients:

  • Mont Cervin Plaza at Deer Valley, a web site and marketing program for the luxury condominium building and development in Deer Valley, Utah, managed by ResortQuest International (a Gaylord Entertainment company).
  • Suede, Utah's music venue that brought in acts ranging from Blues Traveler to and Gov't Mule to famous hip hop acts, like Method Man.  See their list of performers for a list of some of the shows that played there in the three short years since they opened their doors.  Suede was sold to new owners in January of 2007 and the name has changed to The Playground.  Shoumatoff Media / Biodiesel Motor Projects will most likely be doing the marketing for the venue under the new owners as well.  The old owners have opened up a new music venue called The Paladium (temporary web site) in Salt Lake City which we are also doing the marketing for.  Much of Suede's regular client base can be attributed to the sharp, dynamic, and music-relevant web site built and maintained by us that receives over 4000 visitors a month, many of whom come back several times a month.  We also produce all of their print ads.  Also built by us, and owned by the same people: The Salt Air Music Venue.

Consulting clients include:

  • Manhattan Wine Company is New York's most comprehensive wine storage business. We provided full consulting services for their large-scale internet project called the "Virtual Private Cellar."  We evaluated competing bids and helped this company successfully navigate a complex assortment of competing internet technologies from different firms.
Utah Lacrosse Association.  We solicited and evaluated bids from over a dozen web site and sports technology/software firms for ULA's two-part web site (a web site and an online sports registration system).  Also, through bid evaluation and negotiations, Shoumatoff Media was able to save ULA over $8000 annually and nearly $4500 in initial costs versus their previous, notably weaker and more expensive tech partner.
